It’s officially the season of Szilveszter Makó. After all, of late, the Hungarian photographer has been in demand like there’s no tomorrow. From capturing the covers of Vogue Arabia, Interview, British Harper’s Bazaar, and more recently for American Vogue – Mako is quite literally everywhere. The talent’s next body of work arrives in the form of the cover of Vogue Italia, complete with Alicia Keys making an appearance on the magazine. To mark her Vogue cover debut, stylist Luca Galasso dressed the American singer-songwriter in a custom-made silk and velvet dress and satin hat from Sarah Burton’s Fall 2026 Givenchy collection.

“At this moment, the overuse of Szilveszter Makó just feels like straight-up trolling. So many covers in such a short space of time is absolute overkill. Yet regardless of Alicia Keys feeling random as hell on the cover of Italian Vogue, I like this. The colours, the styling, the composition – it’s ALL working,” reasoned vogue28.
“Beautiful cover. I love the colors (especially the masthead), styling, body positioning, and fierce stare. It is very well executed,” MModa approved.
