Andy Biersack Explores New Album by Black Veil Brides

“The last time I was able to express myself so openly and honestly about my feelings was probably during the creation of my first solo album,” shared Andy Biersack in an insightful conversation.

On Thursday, July 24, Andy Biersack joined Loudwire Nights to unveil multiple exciting details concerning the upcoming album from Black Veil Brides. For a comprehensive experience, be sure to listen to the full conversation available in the player towards the end of this article.

“There wasn’t anyone clarifying our creative ideas to make them more marketable,” Biersack explained to host Chuck Armstrong regarding their choice to self-produce the new album alongside bandmate Jake Pitts. This decision showcases their desire for complete artistic control.

“Every track conveys exactly what I want to express, and I’m delivering it in the way I envision it,” he continued. “Self-producing carries significant risks; being your own decision-maker can present challenges.”

Despite these challenges, Biersack and Pitts were confident in their vision for the album’s sound. He believes that the first single released, “Hallelujah,” serves as an excellent representation of the overall direction and essence of the album.

“When listeners hear ‘Hallelujah,’ I’m confident it won’t come across as us indulging excessively in our own creativity,” he stated.

Anticipated Release Date for Black Veil Brides’ Upcoming Album

Amidst the exciting discussions surrounding their new music, Chuck inquired whether Biersack had finalized a release date for the next Black Veil Brides album.

“There is a [date], but I’m not at liberty to disclose it just yet,” he joked.

“It’s still a while away,” he added with a grin.

Biersack did mention that the band is currently in the final stages of completing the record.

“There are still a few elements to polish, but we’re deep into the mixing process,” he explained. “This phase is thrilling because it’s a fresh approach compared to what we’ve done in the past.”

He expressed his excitement about having a song that he believes accurately represents the album as the first offering for fans, allowing them to experience what the band has been diligently crafting.

Biersack shared that his reluctance to announce the release date stems from his commitment to ensuring they deliver the absolute best album possible.

“For the first time in our careers, we were able to create the exact record we envisioned,” he confessed.

“With the support of our label, we were granted the freedom to self-produce this album, allowing us to create on our own terms without being forced into any commercial constraints. This album is precisely what we aimed to achieve, made in the timeframe we desired.”

Additional Insights from Andy Biersack on Loudwire Nights

  • Upcoming Plans for the Band: “The record will be released, and we will embark on extensive touring to support it. However, this year is packed with numerous festivals. We’re thrilled to announce a headline tour in South America, which is incredibly exciting. We have a lot planned this year, and of course, we’ll be performing ‘Hallelujah’ at all these shows.”
  • The Intensity of “Hallelujah”: “This song is not even close to being among the heaviest tracks on the album… Honestly, I believe the collaboration between Jake and myself is what brought these songs to life. This album is definitively the heaviest work from Black Veil Brides to date.”
  • Creative Inspiration Behind the Music Video for “Hallelujah”: “The [John] Milton narrative, ‘Paradise Lost,’ has significantly influenced my life. Growing up in a Catholic environment, many refer to it as Biblical fan-fiction because it expands upon the Biblical narrative. I’ve always been captivated by how Milton inadvertently portrayed Lucifer as a sympathetic character.”
