The standout of the nominations was Emilia Pérez, which topped the list with an impressive total of 13 nominations. Following closely were Wicked and The Brutalist, both securing 10 nominations each. Notably, Adrien Brody and The Brutalist also garnered 10 nominations, while Timothée Chalamet played a significant role in boosting A Full Unknown to a total of 8 nominations, including the coveted Best Picture category.

Ariana Grande has received her first Oscar nomination for her outstanding performance as Glinda in Wicked, where she has been nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category, marking a significant milestone in her illustrious career.

Grande admitted that she ?sobbed? when she heard her name announced and hasn?t ?stopped sobbing since then,? describing the experience as incredibly overwhelming.

Despite not receiving a nomination for Best Director, Wicked director Jon M. Chu celebrated the film’s impressive achievement of receiving 10 nominations, including Best Picture.

Chu shared a video capturing the heartwarming moment he learned that the musical film received a nomination for Best Film Editing, showcasing his excitement as he cheered when editor Myron Kerstein?s name was announced.

Chu further reflected on the film’s nominations in a touching video shared on his Instagram account.
