“Anyone who works on the show will tell you I am meticulous about the details. I have specific standards for many elements. However, with things like Diesel growing five years [older], I’m like, ‘Whatever.’ It’s beyond our control. We can’t recast; Diesel is Austin,” Sarah expressed in an interview with Us Weekly.

“We’re planning to incorporate a few humorous references to his growth. We recognize that he’s maturing, and this awareness will enhance our storytelling,” she added, encouraging viewers to “suspend their disbelief….[He] grew [up] and it’s a TV show. A significant time jump would disrupt the emotional narrative we’re building. Hence, the flashbacks may not align perfectly with the timeline,” she elaborated. “In Wellsbury, time is merely a construct.”
