“BBC Dad” Shares Photos of “Very Grown Up” Kids 9 Years After They Crashed Viral Interview
Robert Kelly’s children continue to grow alongside their father.
Nearly a decade after his kids Marion and James—who were 4 years old and 9 months old at the time—became famous for interrupting his BBC interview, the political science professor shared some “BBC Dad content” showcasing how his children look today.
In one picture posted to X on Sept. 28, Kelly enjoyed birthday cake with Marion, now 13, and James, 10, as they all smiled for a selfie. In another photo, James flashed a peace sign while hiking with his dad.
Kelly also shared a selfie of just Marion, noting that she is “looking very grown-up.”
Additionally, a final photo featured him with his wife Jung-A Kim—whom he referred to as “BBC Mom”—at a street festival.
Since the 2017 interview—and its resurgence in 2020 during the global COVID-19 pandemic—Kelly has provided several updates about his kids and their life in Busan, South Korea.
