From director Kitao Sakurai‘s live-action Street Fighter movie and Anne Hathaway‘s new Colleen Hoover adaptation to the all-conquering documentary You Can See Everything and the Kylo Ren x Rey Star Wars fan fiction with The Love Hypothesis, October was packed with great movies on both the big and small screen. With Halloween over and the first glint of Christmas sparkle beginning to appear, it’s wise to get November off to the best start. So, with that in mind, here’s a list of three movies you should stream on Netflix.

‘Looper’ (2012)
Rotten Tomatoes: 93% | IMDb: 7.4/10
It might still be too early for your annual viewing of Die Hard, but don’t miss out on another Bruce Willis-led action favorite this week. A new arrival in the Netflix catalog, Rian Johnson‘s acclaimed thriller, Looper, tells the story of a criminal syndicate that sends victims into the past to be killed by hitmen known as Loopers. However, when hired gun Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) receives his older self, chaos breaks loose.
A smart, ambitious sci-fi story with as much grounded drama as it has inventive ideas, Looper is one of the true sci-fi gems of this century and is a brilliant addition to the Netflix catalog. Gordon-Levitt and Willis are perfectly cast in a strong ensemble that also includes Emily Blunt as Sara, Paul Dano as Seth, Jeff Daniels as Abe, and future Knives Out alum Noah Segan as Kid Blue.
