2026 is a great year to be a Looney Tunes fan. Not only have many of its shows returned to streaming after being pulled from platforms, but there’s also the release of Coyote vs. ACME after Warner Bros. attempted to shelf the project as a tax write-off. Now, another Looney Tunes project is about to come out.
The Looney Tunes is an ongoing media franchise that began in 1930 and spans numerous TV shows and films. Not only has the franchise won Academy Awards for Best Animated Short Film, but some were also selected for induction into the National Film Registry. One of its recent TV shows is Tiny Toons Looniversity, which ran for two seasons from 2023 to 2025. What makes the Looney Tunes beloved to this day are their iconic characters, memorable catchphrases, and wacky, cartoony, slapstick action and humor.
Recently, WB Kids released a trailer for its newest web series, Looney Tunes Gokko, which reimagines iconic scenes as chibi/cute animations. From Coyote vs. Road Runner chases to Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck antics, see your favorite characters in this anime-inspired art style. Its release date hasn’t been announced yet, but this isn’t the only show in this format. Tom and Jerry also has its own version of this show, called Tom and Jerry Gokko, featuring the iconic cat and mouse cartoon characters in an adorable aesthetic, and has released over 58 episodes online.
