During her testimony, Jane revealed that specific segments of Ventura’s lawsuit from November 2023—which eventually reached a settlement—struck a deep chord with her own past experiences involving Combs.

“I nearly fainted; in fact, I believe I did,” she sobbed before the jury. “There were three particular pages that contained a harrowing resemblance to what I had gone through.”

Jane, who had previously participated in “hotel nights,” mentioned that it felt as if she was reading “her own narrative.” This revelation prompted her to confront Combs through text messages.

“I feel like I am reading my own story of sexual trauma,” she texted after reviewing Ventura’s lawsuit, with screenshots presented as evidence. “I am utterly sick. Combs later contacted Jane and recorded their conversation without her consent, which was submitted as evidence. In that conversation, he asserted that they “shared these experiences together” and emphasized that “this is the moment” he needed her “to be present.”

Unaware she was being recorded, Jane confided in Combs that she felt “sick” to her stomach after reviewing the contents of Ventura’s lawsuit.
