Chyler Leigh, star of Grey’s Anatomy, responds to Eric Dane’s “devastating” death
Chyler Leigh and Nathan West’s marriage has ended.
The Grey’s Anatomy alum recently disclosed that she and Nathan—whom she married in 2002—had quietly separated.
Chyler announced their split—though she did not specify the exact timing—during an appearance on the Books That Changed My Life podcast, when host Chris Collins inquired about a period in her life when she needed to seek help.
“I think getting to a point where my relationship with my ex had reached a point where it was just time,” she stated during the May 12 episode. “It was time to let it go. Even after such a long time. We’d been together—it would be 26 years this year.”
Chyler—who shares children Noah, 23, Taelyn, 19, and Anniston, 17—confirmed that the split was “amicable” and that they are co-parenting their three children.
“We’re doing all the things that we can,” she explained, “but just hit a point where it was like, ‘Okay, what you want and what I want aren’t really lining up anymore.’ And I’d rather us be on good terms and us not harbor the resentment and the anger—all that stuff. It’s not worth it.”
