Victoria “BroRilla” Woods shared her thoughts after Claressa Shields expressed a desire for Angela Bassett to portray her in a biopic. Woods posted a video on Instagram on Wednesday, September 2, and the clip is quite revealing.

There is already one film based on Shields’ life, the 2024 movie ‘The Fire Inside,’ and she was asked about a potential biopic during an interview with The Shade Room.
The boxing champion was asked if she could have any actress play her in a hypothetical movie about her next chapter, who would she choose? Shields admitted that she doesn’t watch many films, but she mentioned the Academy Award-winning actress, Angela Bassett.
Shields also mentioned Keke Palmer, and for Papoose, she named Morris Chestnut, Taye Diggs, and Jabari Banks.
BroRilla Responds to Shields’ Interview
BroRilla shared a video on Instagram, indicating that she disagreed with Shields’ imagined movie cast.
Woods delivered a passionate monologue expressing her unfiltered opinion on the topic, admitting that she was teasing Shields in the clip for discussing her relationship with her sister, GloRilla.
“You think Angela Bassett would play you?” asked BroRilla, in part.

Fans Support Shields After BroRilla’s Critique
After BroRilla’s video was shared on TSR’s Instagram page, fans took to the comments to defend Shields’ imagined cast.
User @faithdonna.z commented, “Y’all acting like she submitted the casting budget to Hollywood. She was asked who she WANTS to play them, not who y’all approved. Let sis have her dream cast.”
While @sway_thepro added, “Damn she can dream big. That’s the goal. Think and dream BIG! Crazy that people make fun of it. Smh That’s why she’s a goat and some people stuck in life because they don’t dream big enough. Like why do we have to tear each other down? Sh*t is sad.”
Additionally, user @teeteeswivae added, “Why are y’all upset that she mentioned she’ll love if her favorite actress & actor play in her biopic? People really just be mad about anything nowadays.”
BroRilla may not think Chestnut resembles Papoose enough for a non-existent biopic, but several fans suggested someone they believe does.
Furthermore @kichainz had another suggestion that many users agreed with. “Well BroRilla you look like a good fit to play Pap.”
While @raquellashaun added, “I’m dead.”
