“A future Hall of Famer, Kyle was a rare talent, one who appears once in a generation,” NASCAR stated in a joint announcement with the Busch family following his death. “He was fierce, passionate, immensely skilled, and deeply cared for the sport and its fans.”
“NASCAR lost a giant of the sport today, far too soon,” the statement continued. “During this incredibly difficult time, we ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy and keep them in your thoughts and prayers.”
