Daisy Edgar-Jones Revives Victorian Style for British Vogue August 2026

Throughout 2025, names like Zoë Kravitz, Anok Yai, Charli XCX, Olivia Rodrigo, Bhavitha Mandava, Jessie Buckley, and Margot Robbie have fronted British Vogue. Chioma Nnadi, who was appointed head of editorial content in 2023 (and produced her first issue in 2024), welcomes Daisy Edgar-Jones onto the cover of British Vogue magazine for August 2026. Nnadi commissioned the photographer Szilveszter Makó to profile the British actress, complete with styling from Tabitha Simmons. In the cover portrait, the star of Georgia Oakley’s “Sense and Sensibility” poses in a Victorian-inspired creation from Nicolas Ghesquière’s Fall 2026 Louis Vuitton collection.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Another actress who suffers from the Alicia Vikander Syndrome. She’s as photogenic and exciting as a mop,” immediately critiqued WAVES upon checking out the cover.

Mikel used the word “dusty” to describe the outcome.

“Here’s British Vogue with another dull, dreary cover. The cover fails to stand out, and the lazy art direction kills this tremendously,” vogue28 voiced.

After all, not everyone was full of dismay. “Wow! Great cover! Must say a long overdue cover for Jones! Love this! And the photographer is right for this!” raved BalkaniStaCouture.

“This is super beautiful and nice to see a new photographer for British Vogue,” approved Kite.
