Discover Ben and Kamari’s Experience as Part of ‘DONDI’
“We haven’t even scratched the surface of the chaos; it’s just begun.”
Reflecting on the thrill of Season 2, how has it felt to witness the show’s incredible rise in popularity?
KAMARI: It’s been an absolute blast!
BEN: Seeing this brand-new show gain such a passionate following has been exhilarating. The fanbase has expanded rapidly, which is genuinely thrilling. It feels like Kamari and I have nurtured this project from its humble beginnings. The success of Season 1 was phenomenal, and I believe Season 2 will surpass those initial numbers. We eagerly anticipate each new episode and are excited to see how audiences will respond.
KAMARI: Exactly! The leap from Season 1 to Season 2 is monumental. Witnessing this transformation has been the most enjoyable part. And we’re only just getting started; the real chaos is yet to unfold!
What significance does being part of this iconic show hold for both of you?
KAMARI: It truly means the world to us. Being part of such a long-standing franchise carries immense respect. Many previous briefcase models have launched their careers through this platform, and being selected to take on this new role in a fresh setting is a tremendous honor. We feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of this experience.
BEN: There’s something uniquely exciting about contributing to something so new, especially given its legendary background from Deal or No Deal. We are the first two individuals to bring this format to an island, and splitting the cases adds a unique twist. It’s a fresh show, allowing us to represent this new genre of case opening and act as the Banker’s Assistants.
KAMARI: Yes, and let’s not forget, Ben is the first male briefcase model on the show, setting records!
BEN: Indeed, that’s quite an achievement!

“You almost lose consciousness when you approach the cases.”
What do fans often miss about the filming process that isn’t captured on screen?
KAMARI: There’s an overwhelming amount of behind-the-scenes action that simply can’t be shown due to time constraints. While viewers will see highlights on television, the reality is that there are numerous dynamics at play—alliances are formed, manipulations occur, and all sorts of strategies are employed to create an engaging show. The true essence of what happens in between the segments is often beyond the audience’s understanding.
BEN: Another common misconception is that people assume Kamari and I know what’s inside the cases. My family, for instance, often asks me if I know the contents of a specific case, like case eight. The truth is, we have no idea at all. This is a surprising revelation for many, but it makes the experience even more thrilling because it remains a complete mystery to us.
KAMARI: Right? They come at us thinking we have the inside scoop. I assure them, we genuinely don’t!
BEN: Exactly! Even some contestants believe we might have inside knowledge at times.
Can you share your experiences working with the extraordinary Joe Manganiello?
KAMARI: He’s just incredible.
BEN: Absolutely amazing! Considering his impressive career and his humble demeanor, he truly stands out. There’s a saying about treating everyone equally, and Joe embodies that principle. He is genuinely a fantastic person overall.
KAMARI: Yes, he is.
BEN: It’s remarkable that this is his first time hosting, yet he performs as if he’s been doing it for decades.
KAMARI: You would never guess.
BEN: They couldn’t have chosen a better person to lead this show for the first time.
KAMARI: Absolutely. He’s so down-to-earth and incredibly supportive. I hold him in high regard; as Ben mentioned, this being his debut as a host is astonishing. Observing him on set, I learned so much just by witnessing his professional approach. It’s inspiring to work alongside someone of such high caliber who remains so grounded, and this experience has been invaluable.
How do you both consistently dazzle in your appearances during the Banker’s Challenge? What are the top tips for island-inspired fashion?
KAMARI: The key to serving island fashion? A touch of dewiness from the humidity can work wonders! A healthy glow is definitely a plus.
BEN: Definitely no ascots! That’s a fashion faux pas.
KAMARI: Ruffles are out too!
BEN: A little island dew is essential, and bright colors are a must! We love showcasing vibrant hues.
Despite not knowing the contents of the cases, your artistry in opening them is remarkable. What’s the secret to mastering this skill?
KAMARI: I believe it’s all about the flow.
BEN: Honestly, it’s something that becomes instinctive. When I approach the cases, it’s almost like I black out; if you overthink it or try to premeditate your actions, it can come off as inauthentic on camera. From day one, Kamari and I have simply embraced the moment—approaching the case, opening it, and reacting genuinely.
KAMARI: It’s amusing because Ben and I have started to understand each other’s movements. I’ll walk over, and he can anticipate my actions…
BEN: She has her signature hand touch.
KAMARI: I drag the case, and he’s able to predict what’s going to happen. I didn’t realize I was giving it away! But it’s a fun little game we play.

Reflecting on the recent elimination, what were your thoughts when Sydnee abruptly paused the game to address the players with an apology?
BEN: I’ve received countless messages from viewers labeling Sydnee as chaotic and unpredictable. Many were drawn to her erratic gameplay early on. However, when she stood up to address the entire cast, I believe it ultimately did little to change her fate. It felt like she had already sealed her own destiny with her previous moves. The atmosphere in the studio froze for a moment as we all wondered what she had to say.
KAMARI: Absolutely. That moment likely sealed her fate because it was an over-the-top move. At that stage, her actions had already shown us her true colors, and trust was lost. It was a valiant attempt, but perhaps a bit too late.
BEN: Absolutely admirable.
KAMARI: It’s part of the game, for sure. You have to play to win.
Do you believe that players like Parvati, Boston Rob, The Golden God, and Dr. Will possess an advantage when stepping onto the Banker’s Private Island due to their past competition experiences?
KAMARI: Without a doubt! They all entered with the intent to elevate their game beyond their previous experiences. The strategies they brought were unique and advanced. For instance, I vividly recall Rob’s performance last year during the swing challenge. He was the only contestant who focused solely on swinging instead of throwing anything initially. This showcased his strategic thinking and momentum management. It’s clear who among them is seasoned in competition reality shows and who is not.
BEN: There’s a certain beauty in that dynamic. Regardless of one’s level of experience, when it comes to the temple and playing Deal or No Deal, luck plays a significant role. Even someone with no prior game show experience could outperform a veteran. This balance adds an exciting unpredictability to the show.
KAMARI: Exactly right!
BEN: Even with a cast full of veterans, when you reach the temple, you must play your cards right with the banker.
KAMARI: Anyone can come out on top.
To wrap up, how would YOU fare if you were contestants on Deal or No Deal Island?
KAMARI: We absolutely love this question! We would definitely make it to the end, no doubt!
BEN: In terms of competition, we’d be formidable opponents.
KAMARI: Yes, we’re both athletes at heart and proud Southerners!
BEN: Fear isn’t really in our vocabulary. I envision Kamari and I battling it out to the final two contenders.
KAMARI: And we’d just duke it out!
BEN: That’s our mantra—we’d ensure we both succeed.
I am eagerly awaiting an All-Star season featuring the two of you!
BEN: Absolutely!
KAMARI: We’d be thrilled to bring our skills to the other side!
BEN: For sure! I wouldn’t complain at all.
