In a recent documentary titled Billy Idol Should Be Dead, Bonnie shared her surprising experience: “My husband just surprised me with a 23andMe DNA test as a Christmas gift,” she explained. “A few weeks later, I opened the app to view the results, and I was shocked to discover someone named Brant, who was searching for his biological father, with information indicating he was from New York in 1985. I was completely taken aback!”

Longtime fans of Billy Idol might quickly piece together the timeline, as the singer was actively touring to promote his immensely popular album Rebel Yell during the period when Brant was conceived. In the documentary, Brant reveals his upbringing and the belief that his father was someone entirely different. However, when a subsequent DNA test raised questions about his lineage, he approached his mother, who recounted, “It’s quite a story, but we had a brief relationship, and I spent a weekend with Billy Idol.”

For Idol, this unexpected revelation later in life is regarded as nothing short of a blessing. He expressed, “Being a father has been incredibly rewarding for me. I always envisioned having a boy and a girl, and in a twist of fate, I ended up with both. It’s surreal to learn that I fathered a son during the Rebel Yell tour without even knowing it.
