Doug Ellin Addresses Debi Mazar’s Fat-Shaming Allegation

‘Entourage’ Star Jerry Ferrara Discusses Potential Reboot 20 Years Later (Exclusive)

The cast of Entourage reflects on their experiences on set in varied ways.

After Debi Mazar revealed that she faced body shaming after giving birth in 2006 during the filming of the series, its creator Doug Ellin disputed her account.

“My thoughts are this is disgusting,” the writer stated on X on September 1. “Never did I or anyone important care or discuss Debi Mazar’s body.”

Regarding Mazar’s pregnancy, the 58-year-old added, “I would one million percent support any woman who became pregnant.”

While Ellin rejected the Batman Forever star’s claims about her experience on the show—which she was part of from 2004 to 2011—he did mention that he commented on Jerry Ferrara‘s and Adrian Grenier‘s physical appearances.

“The only bodies on the show I ever commented on were Adrian’s (I wanted him more muscular) and @jerryferrara who I wanted to be heavier,” the director explained. “I will always regret that because I didn’t understand the health implications at the time and now couldn’t be happier for Jerry’s transformation.” (Ferrara, who portrayed Turtle, noted his significant weight loss after the show’s sixth season, at which point he weighed 200 pounds despite being 5-foot-7.)
