In a statement regarding his hiatus, Gray expressed, “Taking care of business as I always do.” He added a heartfelt note of gratitude, stating, “Thanks and see you soon,” reassuring fans of his return.

Since co-founding the Marshall Tucker Band in 1972, Gray has been a pivotal figure, remaining the only original member since 1996. The band’s legacy includes classic hits such as the iconic “Can’t You See” from 1973 and the unforgettable “Heard it in a Love Song” from 1977, which continue to resonate with fans.
