As the highly anticipated tour approaches, the extreme metal band Aborted has officially announced their split with drummer Ken Bedene. In a statement released by the band, they revealed that Bedene will be replaced by the talented drummer Kevin Paradis, who will now take over the drumkit for their upcoming performances.

Effective immediately, Ken Bedene is no longer a member of Aborted. The upcoming European tour will proceed as planned, with all blast beats and drumming duties being expertly handled by Kevin Paradis.
The Legacy of Ken Bedene with Aborted
Ken Bedene had a remarkable tenure with Aborted, contributing to the band for an impressive 15 years before his recent departure. He first joined the group in 2010, stepping in to replace drummer Daniel Wilding, who had just completed two years with the band.
Bedene’s debut album with Aborted was the critically acclaimed 2012 release, Global Flatline, which marked the band’s seventh studio effort. He continued to perform with the band for five additional albums, with his latest contribution being on the upcoming 2024 project, Vault of Horrors.

In terms of his successor, Kevin Paradis joins Aborted after having a rich history as a drummer for various notable acts including The Seven Gates, Svart Crown, Mithridatic, Benighted, Aronious, Ne Obliviscaris, and Death Lab.

As previously mentioned, the 2025 tour for Aborted is just around the corner. The band is set to kick off their live shows on April 24 in Tilburg, Netherlands, with a series of European and UK dates scheduled to continue until May 25 in Bristol, UK.
