The British royal family is joyfully celebrating the cherished occasion of Easter!
King Charles III and Queen Camilla were seen with various members of the royal family attending a traditional church service at the historic St George’s Chapel located within the grounds of Windsor Castle on Sunday, April 20, as part of their festive Easter celebrations in Windsor, England.
While many family members gathered for this special service, notable absentees included Prince William, Princess Kate, and their children, who opted to spend the weekend away enjoying a holiday in scenic Norfolk, England, as reported by the BBC.
After the church service, attendees expressed their warm wishes for a “Happy Easter” to the King and Queen, who were graciously acknowledged by the crowd. Additionally, Camilla received a lovely bouquet of flowers from a young girl, adding a delightful touch to the day.

Prince Andrew made his appearance accompanied by his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, as they arrived in a car alongside Princess Anne and her husband, Sir Tim Laurence.
It’s noteworthy that Andrew had previously chosen not to attend the family’s traditional Christmas gathering due to ongoing controversies surrounding his public life.
Sisters Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice were also present, joined by their husbands, Jack Brooksbank and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. Meanwhile, Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, were seen arriving with their son, James, contributing to the family gathering.
This church service followed the poignant Easter message delivered by the King.
In his message, he reflected, “One of the puzzles of our humanity is how we are capable of both great cruelty and great kindness.” He further elaborated, “On Maundy Thursday, Jesus knelt and washed the feet of many of those who would abandon Him. His humble action was a token of His love that knew no bounds or boundaries and is central to Christian belief. The love He showed when he walked the Earth reflected the Jewish ethic of caring for the stranger and those in need, a deep human instinct echoed in Islam and other religious traditions, and in the hearts of all who seek the good of others.” You can read the full message here.
It is also important to note that King Charles was briefly hospitalized in March, which drew significant public attention and concern.
