Erling Haaland Buzzcut: Shedding His Signature Long Hair

Erling Haaland is starting a new Premier League season with a fresh haircut.

The Norwegian soccer star has cut off his iconic long hair—which he wore in his signature man bun during the 2026 World Cup—into a buzzcut, surprising both fans and fellow athletes.

As Haaland posted on Instagram on Aug. 23 alongside photos of his hair transformation, “Short hair don’t care.”

However, it appears that the Manchester City player’s teammates do care. Haaland, 26, video called several members of the soccer community to capture their reactions, with English player Jack Grealish humorously commenting that the athlete looked “about 10 years old” with his new haircut in a video shared on YouTube on Aug. 23.

Meanwhile, retired soccer star Zlatan Ibrahimovic did not hold back on sharing his opinion.

“Oh, my God, what the f–k is this? Did you lose a bet or what?” he joked. “Block me and erase my number, my friend.”

As for what soccer manager Pep Guardiola thought of the makeover? He expressed a desire to have the opportunity for a hair transformation himself.
