Following the successful release of Fast X in 2023, it’s been officially announced that Vin Diesel‘s iconic character, Dominic Toretto, alongside his skilled crew of drivers, will be making a comeback for at least one additional film. While Diesel’s social media posts hinted that filming for Fast X: Part 2 may have commenced back in November 2024, the actual production status has remained uncertain for several months, leaving fans eager for more clarity.

Recently, Ludacris provided an update to Entertainment Weekly, stating that, contrary to previous speculation, filming for Fast X: Part 2 has yet to begin.

“I’m waiting on updates myself, man. I wish I could provide you with some information, but I wouldn’t want to give you the incorrect info. All I can say for now is that I?m anticipating more details, and I know we?ve been working tirelessly to ensure that it meets our expectations: to wrap up the saga and bring all storylines to a satisfying conclusion.”

In a recent reunion with Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez for a new Häagen-Dazs Super Bowl commercial, Ludacris mentioned that he attempted to extract some information from Diesel regarding the film’s status:

“Oh yeah, I was asking, but everybody is tight-lipped, you know what I mean? No one has the true answers yet, until the studio officially gives the green light for anything to proceed.”
