Fire and Ash Digital, 4K, and Blu-ray Release Dates for Cameron Film


20th Century Studios has announced the digital, 4K, and Blu-ray release dates for Avatar: Fire and Ash, the latest sequel to James Cameron’s blockbuster epic sci-fi franchise. This comes over three months after the film had its theatrical release, where it earned a gross of over $1.4 billion worldwide.

“Return to the breathtaking world of Pandora in the most powerful chapter of the Avatar saga yet. As Jake and Neytiri guide their family through grief, they journey with the nomadic Wind Traders across Pandora’s skies. But the Sullys’ path is threatened by a new enemy — the Ash People, a warlike clan led by the fierce Varang, who have turned against Eywa and the ancient Na’vi way,” reads the film’s official synopsis.

When are the digital, 4K, and Blu-ray release dates for Avatar: Fire and Ash?

Avatar: Fire and Ash will be available to rent or own on digital platforms starting on March 31. It will then be followed by its 4K Ultra HD, 3D Blu-ray, and DVD release on May 19, which features stunning Dolby Vision picture quality and immersive Dolby Atmos audio. The home video release will include over three hours of never-before-seen bonus content.

In addition, the studio is also releasing a limited-edition 4K Ultra HD SteelBook. Its design will immerse collectors in the high-flying intensity of a Mangkwan attack. Inside the case, it features the serene beauty and spiritual calm of the Na’vi within Pandora’s lush rainforest. Besides the 2025 movie, the studio will also be launching a must-own 3-movie collection, which will be available on digital, 4K Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD. It consists of 2012’s Avatar, 2022’s Avatar: The Way of Water, and 2025’s Avatar: Fire and Ash.

Avatar: Fire and Ash was directed by Cameron, who co-wrote the screenplay with Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. The ensemble cast included returning stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Giovanni Ribisi, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Jack Champion, Baily Bass, and Edie Falco. Joining them were Oona Chaplin and David Thewlis. Since its debut, it has received a 90% Popcornmeter on Rotten Tomatoes.
