A fan of Greta Van Fleet has discovered an apparent clue hidden within the band’s website following a recent social media post that sparked breakup concerns.
The band shared a cryptic video on social media earlier this week, featuring a montage of video and audio clips from their career, concluding with the message, “Thanks for the wild ride.” Naturally, many fans feared that this post indicated the band’s end.
What Did the Fan Find in the Code of Greta Van Fleet’s Website?
The homepage of Greta’s website now displays the same video and message at the bottom, but one fan took it a step further. They posted a screenshot on Reddit showing a pattern they found in the code of the band’s website, which appears to point to something significant.
“I just took a peek at the code to see if they were hiding something, and of course, I found this,” the fan wrote in their post.
The image shows a pattern resembling a medieval castle with two vertical windows, one of which has the letter “M” in the center. Below this figure is an arrow pointing to “$0.”
“This is so funny. Whatever they’re doing, it worked. They’re geniuses! They got everyone talking and excited about them again,” another fan commented on the Reddit post.

What Does the Pattern in the Code Mean?
Aside from the photo of the code, we have no concrete information to determine what GVF may or may not be teasing. There was considerable speculation in the comments section of the post, with some suggesting that the “M” refers to guitarist Jake Kiszka’s side project Mirador, which has been more active over the past year than Greta Van Fleet.
Another fan noted, “With the ‘$0’ at the end, it makes me wonder if they’re planning a secret location show where anyone who shows up gets in for free? Who knows. It could be anything really, but it’s fun to speculate.”

If that theory holds true, there is a wedding and event venue called Castle Farms located in Charlevoix, Mich., which is less than 200 miles from Greta Van Fleet’s hometown of Frankenmuth. The castle-like mansion on-site has previously hosted various shows by iconic rock and metal musicians such as Ozzy Osbourne, Aerosmith, AC/DC, and others [via mlive.com].

Again — this is all purely speculative. The only confirmed information we have right now is that they posted a video with a “Thanks for the wild ride” message, that they haven’t performed since late 2024, and their last album Starcatcher was released in 2023.
