Since the reunion of iconic band members Slash and Duff McKagan in 2016, Guns N’ Roses have been actively performing and thrilling audiences every year, except for the year 2024. They even managed to hold a concert early in 2020 before the widespread COVID-19 pandemic led to the cancellation of their entire tour plans for that year.
This year’s tour, aptly titled “Because What You Want and What You Get Are Two Completely Different Things,” has introduced several notable changes to the band’s lineup and performance style. Earlier this year, they parted ways with drummer Frank Ferrer after an impressive 19-year tenure. This means that their recent performances have marked the debut of new drummer Isaac Carpenter, bringing a fresh dynamic to their shows.

Alongside the lineup changes, Guns N’ Roses have also significantly revamped their usual setlist, bringing a sense of novelty to their concerts. For instance, they opened the first show of this tour with the iconic track “Welcome to the Jungle,” a move they hadn’t executed since 2012, showcasing their commitment to keeping performances exciting and unpredictable.
As the tour progressed, they delighted fans by performing their cover of the New York Dolls‘ “Human Being” for the very first time, added "Out Ta Get Me" to the setlist for the first time since 2017, and surprisingly omitted “It’s So Easy” from their lineup for the first time in over three decades, marking a significant shift in their musical journey.
As we look forward to the remaining performances in 2025, fans are left eagerly anticipating what other exciting surprises Guns N’ Roses may have in store.
