While he recognizes the challenges of balancing parenting and football when he reports to training camp this summer, he stated, “I’ve known this from well in advance,” during a January press conference with 13WHAM. “I have siblings with children, and many friends who are parents. I don’t know if you can plan too far in advance.”
Although they have been studying the playbook, he mentioned, “We’re going to have to figure out things on the go just like anything else.”
However, not every call will be an audible.
The couple hinted back in December that they had already chosen a name for their little one, sharing a photo of a knit sweater under a Christmas tree, embroidered with the phrase, “Baby Beau.”
This name references Steinfeld’s childhood nickname; she explained, “Before I was born, my parents couldn’t decide whether to name me Hailee or Bailee. They ultimately chose Hailee but still liked the sound of Bailee, so they started calling me ‘Hailee Beau Bailee,’ which we shortened to Beau.”
