What has fueled this particular urban legend is a detailed story that suggests that Kelce traveled to Turkey to get the procedure done shortly after the Chiefs’ disappointing loss in Super Bowl LIX.
While Turkey is indeed a popular destination for those seeking affordable hair restoration options, it’s puzzling why someone of Travis’s financial means would opt for such a trip for hair restoration when he could afford top-tier alternatives.

You may be familiar with Travis Barker, but have you heard about Vince Garcia, Travis Kelce’s skilled barber? (We couldn’t resist the pun.)
Recently, this Kansas City-based hair stylist shared his insights with US Weekly, firmly asserting that the rumors surrounding a hair transplant are completely unfounded.
“Nah, not at all, man,” Garcia stated in a recent interview, emphasizing that what you see is indeed “a full head of hair right there.”
Garcia elaborated, explaining that he has been responsible for cutting Travis’s hair for several years, fostering what he describes as “a really great relationship” with the three-time Super Bowl champion.
“Over the years, he’ll come to my barbershop [or] or he’ll come to my house for a haircut,” he added, underscoring their close bond.

Over the years of consistently working together, it’s just like any relationship; the more you see each other, the more you grow personally,” he explained.
This isn’t the first time that Travis’s hair has sparked widespread conversation within the media.
Even Patrick Mahomes, Kelce’s quarterback, commented on his evolving hairstyle before the commencement of last year’s NFL season.
“I’ve been trying to get him to grow his hair out,” Mahomes remarked during an interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio in August 2024, “and all of a sudden, Taylor gets him to do it.”
It’s no surprise that Taylor has a significant influence over Travis, perhaps even more than Patrick does.
Of course, with Kelce having no immediate plans to retire from the NFL, it seems that Mahomes might remain the second most important person in his life for another year or so!
