Harlow Jane, Patricia Arquette’s Daughter, Dreads Acting Career

Why Harlow Jane Feared Following in Her Family’s Footsteps

Harlow Jane understands she has big—not medium—shoes to fill.

The 23-year-old credited her mother Patricia Arquette for inspiring her burgeoning acting career, which has reached a new height with her latest significant role in The Five Star Weekend, debuting on Peacock July 9. However, taking on the acting legacy from the Oscar winner was a decision Harlow admitted she didn’t take lightly.

“The truth of it was, I was just too scared to try it, and I was too scared of failing,” Harlow exclusively told E! News’ Erin Lim Rhodes at the Five Star Weekend premiere in Los Angeles July 8. “I was too scared of being bad at it.”

After all, Harlow’s role model has portrayed several iconic TV characters, including Allison DuBois in Medium and Harmony Cobel in Severance. Additionally, Harlow comes from a large family of entertainers, with aunt Rosanna Arquette, uncle David Arquette, and her father Thomas Jane, all boasting illustrious careers of their own.

As Harlow humorously remarked, “I didn’t want to be the one in the family that sucks—and I still could be, you never know!”
