Kevin Garnett found himself embroiled in a serious argument with his girlfriend late last month, prompting a response from law enforcement. However, both parties have since clarified that the situation did not escalate to a dangerous level.
According to TMZ Sports, law enforcement officials reported that Garnett’s girlfriend, Teare Candelier, made a 911 call shortly before 2 AM on April 27, indicating that she and Garnett were involved in a domestic conflict at their home in the Los Angeles area.
Upon the arrival of the police, Garnett had already left the premises. Nevertheless, the officers proceeded to document the incident. They also inquired whether Candelier required medical assistance, which she declined.
Sources familiar with the situation revealed that as Garnett attempted to exit the residence to mitigate the escalating tension, he gently moved Candelier from blocking a doorway. Beyond this interaction, there was no physical confrontation.
Both Kevin Garnett and Teare Candelier expressed regret regarding the involvement of law enforcement in what they described as a personal matter.
In a joint statement, they expressed, “We deeply regret that a personal disagreement escalated and inappropriately involved authorities. It was never our intention to involve others in a moment that should have remained private.”
They further elaborated, “Like many couples, we experience disagreements, but our commitment to each other remains unwavering, and we move forward with renewed respect, understanding, and love for one another.”
