Henry Cavill’s Action Masterpiece with Rebecca Ferguson Dominates

2026 has been a roller coaster of a year for Henry Cavill so far, who returned to the big screen for the first time in two years for In The Grey. Cavill reunited with director Guy Ritchie on the film — the two had previously worked together on other action movies such as The Man From U.N.C.L.E and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Cavill has found redemption in the last weeks thanks to the premiere of Enola Holmes 3, the third and likely final chapter in his hit detective saga co-starring long-time Stranger Things veteran Millie Bobby Brown. Cavill has been working on set this year, too, filming his new sci-fi fantasy remake of Highlander with Russell Crowe and Dave Bautista. The film is being directed by Chad Stahelski, famous for his work on the John Wick movies.

Cavill may be best known for his work playing Superman in the DCEU under Zack Snyder, but neither of his featured appearances are anywhere near the highest-rated movies of his career. That title belongs to Mission: Impossible — Fallout, the critically acclaimed action film co-starring Tom Cruise and Rebecca Ferguson. The film holds a near-perfect 98% from critics on the aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes to pair with a solid 89% on the audience-driven Popcornmeter. The sixth installment in Cruise’s Mission: Impossible franchise also grossed a whopping $824 million at the global box office, handily turning a profit of its $275 million estimated budget. Now approaching 10 years since Mission: Impossible — Fallout hit theaters, the film is streaming exclusively on Paramount Plus, but it’s also become a smash hit on VOD platforms like Prime Video and Apple TV in several countries around the world.
