Aaron Taylor-Johnson‘s latest action movie has locked in its digital streaming release window. The high-octane film from David Mackenzie also stars Sam Worthington and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
Fuze receives a digital streaming release date
Fuze was released in U.S. theaters last month, featuring Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Major Will Tranter. According to WhenToStream, it will be available to stream digitally from May 26, 2026, and the additional cast also features Saffron Hocking and Elham Ehsas.
Fuze is set in contemporary London, focusing on the tense situation where an unexploded World War II bomb is unearthed at a massive construction site, forcing a citywide evacuation.
The official synopsis for the film reads, “As authorities race against time to contain the crisis, alliances blur and moral boundaries are crossed, the film deftly propels audiences through a series of calculated twists delivering a wildly entertaining ride.”
In an exclusive interview with ComingSoon editor-in-chief Tyler Treese, Aaron Taylor-Johnson talked about his experience working on the heist movie. Speaking of his character and the story, he said, “I mean, it was a character that was so interesting when I read it, and [David] Mackenzie approached me for this role.”
He added, “Just to be in a heist movie with all these kind of wild characters who — are they who they say they are? What’s going on? What’s below the surface that’s gonna like reveal itself? It felt like this World War II explosive was this sort of ticking time bomb that creates the energy, the stakes, this high suspense, the high-octane kind of drive for this movie. But also, each character is their very own ticking time bomb.”
The film is produced by Mackenzie alongside Sébastien Raybaud, Callum Christopher Grant, and Gillian Berrie, with Ben Hopkins behind the screenplay. Hopkins is known for writing 2023’s Inside, starring Willem Dafoe, as well as 1999’s Simon Magus and 2000’s The Nine Lives of Tomas Katz.
Fuze fared well with critics and moviegoers upon its theatrical debut. Currently, it holds a solid 73% Tomatometer score and 78% of Popcornmeter score on Rotten Tomatoes.
