Steam has won me over as an RPG fan. Although I used to wander through Steam by clicking around aimlessly, curation tools have significantly helped me find games. RPGs are constantly being released on Steam from various corners of the world and through different monetization efforts.
RPGs from nearly every setting are available, from classic fantasy to the far reaches of space and sci-fi. Even if a particular AAA game is on sale and remains at full price, there’s likely something on Steam that is similar or pays homage to those large-scale projects.
Currently, fans on Steam are enjoying an RPG that combines elements of Hogwarts Legacy and Final Fantasy. It’s available to try for free right now, so if you’re looking for something new to play, this could be your chance to discover a game that has received “very positive” user reviews.
This week on Steam, Magical Princess is now available from developers Neotro and Magi. It’s free to try with a demo and currently holds a “very positive” rating with several hundred reviews.

The game is so extra and sweet it actually feels like you’re eating lavishly baked bread that’s clearly dangerous for you to eat too much of. I even bought one of their board games; apparently these guys made tons of board games with these characters and this is like a big reference/crossover thing.”
