Hulk Hogan’s Cremation: Sky Daily Explains the Delay

Estimated Reading Duration: 4 minutes

It has been two weeks since the legendary Hulk Hogan passed away at the age of 71, leaving behind a legacy in the world of professional wrestling.

The conversation surrounding the impact of the WWE icon’s death remains vibrant and shows no signs of fading away—especially as both his wife and daughter have been actively engaging with the public, sharing their thoughts and feelings regarding various aspects of this profound loss.

For instance, Brooke Hogan took to social media this week to explain the personal reasons behind her decision to miss her father’s funeral held in Florida, shedding light on her feelings during this difficult time.

In addition, Sky Daily has taken to her Instagram account to share her thoughts in depth, referring to Hogan by his birth name, Terry Bollea, and providing insights into why his body was present at the funeral service.

“Terry chose cremation knowing this physical life is temporary and his heavenly body eternal,” Daily articulated about her husband in a heartfelt message posted on August 6.

She further elaborated, stating, “He has not yet been cremated, as our family is ensuring that every question regarding his medical care is addressed first. Once we have that peace of mind, we will honor his wish and carry it out with love and respect.”

It’s important to note that Hogan’s passing was attributed to cardiac arrest.

Reports have indicated that he had been experiencing health issues for an extended period, with a makeshift hospital being established in his home shortly before his death.

Sky Daily continued her poignant post by sharing:

“There are heartbreakingly misleading media stories generated by faceless AI accounts or by individuals who are not closely acquainted with the reality of the situation. Please be patient and understand this: he was deeply loved, well cared for, and surrounded by that love until his very last moment.”

Hogan’s death occurred on July 24 when emergency responders were called to his Clearwater residence due to a cardiac arrest emergency.

Later reports from People Magazine confirmed that the beloved entertainer succumbed to a heart attack and had also been privately battling leukemia, a condition he had chosen to keep confidential.

Furthermore, medical records accessed revealed that Hulk Hogan had expressed a wish to be cremated, a sentiment that was echoed by his daughter Brooke a few days ago.

“My father despised the morbid nature of funerals. He explicitly stated that he didn’t want one,” Brooke Hogan expressed in a heartfelt caption accompanying a photograph of her and her daughter at the beach. She added:

“While I recognize that people grieve in various ways—and I am immensely grateful for all the celebrations and events organized to honor him—as his daughter, I felt compelled to make my decision to honor him in the most genuine way I knew how… privately, in a manner that brought me closest to him…

“Daddy, we paid tribute to you in the simplest way that resonated with my soul. We took our children to the beach and immersed them in the same salty waters that you cherished.

“Molly adored the water. I believe she’ll be a ‘little fish,’ just as you affectionately called me. We love you and treasure the qualities that made you so unique. Every grain of sand and every wave reminded me of my childhood as your beach baby and brought us closer to you. I pray you are at peace and realize how deeply I love you.

“Rest in heaven, Daddy.”

Brooke later revealed that she hadn’t communicated with her father for two years prior to his passing, describing his behavior towards her as emotionally distant and callous.

She is now questioning Sky Daily’s perspective and explanations, having previously dismissed the leukemia diagnosis as “BS.”

“I’m relieved to learn that my father has not been cremated and that Sky is awaiting further clarity due to family inquiries,” Brooke expressed on her Instagram Stories.

“With all the speculation and uncertainty surrounding my father’s death, I would like to extend an offer to cover the costs of an autopsy if that’s what it takes to ensure it’s done. My father’s dignity and legacy deserve nothing less.”
