Nick Viall Questions Justin Baldoni’s PR Strategy Amid Support for Blake Lively
As the controversy surrounding Blake Lively‘s recent lawsuit escalates, more celebrities are stepping forward to express their unwavering support for her. The lawsuit, which was filed on Friday and reported by TMZ on Saturday, targets Justin Baldoni, who starred alongside Lively in It Ends With Us and served as its director. This situation has generated significant media attention, raising questions about the underlying issues at play.
On Saturday, the New York Times published a revealing article that disclosed alleged private messages purportedly orchestrating a smear campaign against Lively. These allegations are part of the claims made in the lawsuit. Baldoni and his team have categorically denied these allegations, asserting that the lawsuit is merely an attempt to “repair her damaging reputation,” highlighting the contentious nature of this unfolding drama.
In a statement, Sony Pictures Entertainment, the distributor of It Ends With Us, reiterated its steadfast support for Blake Lively. They stated, “We have previously expressed our support for Blake regarding her work on and for the film. Today, we fully and unequivocally reiterate that support.” Furthermore, they condemned any attacks on her reputation, asserting that such behavior has no place in the industry or in a civilized society.

Former Bachelor star and podcast host Nick Viall has been one of the most vocal supporters of Lively. He notably criticized Baldoni back in August for enlisting the services of renowned crisis manager Melissa Nathan, who previously worked with Johnny Depp during his contentious defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard. This move raised eyebrows as public sentiment began to shift against Lively amidst the film’s release and growing rumors of behind-the-scenes tensions.
Viall is not alone in voicing support for Lively. Following her detailed account of her experiences during the making and promotion of the Colleen Hoover adaptation, which included alarming revelations of alleged sexual harassment and a coordinated smear campaign against her, numerous stars are rallying behind her.
Amy Schumer simply expressed her belief in Lively by stating, “I believe Blake” on her Instagram story. Meanwhile, Gwyneth Paltrow demonstrated her support by promoting Lively’s Blake Brown haircare line on the same day the lawsuit was announced, saying, “Just added to my Christmas wish list,” along with a queen emoji on Instagram.

Jenny Slate, who portrayed Baldoni’s sister in It Ends With Us, has expressed her firm support for Lively in this trying time.
“As Blake Lively’s castmate and friend, I voice my support as she takes action against those reportedly involved in planning and executing an attack on her reputation,” Slate stated in an announcement to TODAY. “Blake is a leader, a loyal friend, and a trusted source of emotional support for me and so many who know and love her.”
“What has been revealed concerning the attack on Blake is extremely dark, disturbing, and wholly threatening,” she concluded. “I commend my friend, I love her bravery, and I stand by her side.”
Brandon Sklenar Supports Blake Lively in Her Struggles
Fellow co-star Brandon Sklenar also expressed his unwavering support for Lively by sharing a link to the New York Times article.
He added, “For the love of God, read this,” tagging Lively and including a heart emoji.
Back in August, when Lively was facing an overwhelming amount of negativity regarding her promotion of their film, Sklenar issued a statement defending her as well.
“Vilifying the women who invest so much of their heart and soul into making this film because they passionately believe in its message seems counterproductive and detracts from what this film is truly about,” he stated at the time.
Michele Morrone Opens Up About Blake Lively’s Pain

“I personally met Blake during A Simple Favor 2, we shot this incredible movie together, and I sensed something was wrong; I felt her pain. When we had the chance to talk, I realized Blake was in pain,” he shared. “And I’m truly exhausted from seeing these cruel and harmful comments about her without understanding the situation.”
“That’s why I want to link to the article [in] The New York Times so that you can understand the context before commenting on what happened,” he added. “That’s all I ask. Blake, I love you so much. Keep going, and we will see each other very, very soon. Love you.”

“I have now made two movies with Blake, and all I can say is she’s one of the most professional, creative, collaborative, gifted, and kindest people I’ve ever worked with,” he stated.
He concluded, “She absolutely did not deserve any of this smear campaign against her. I think it’s awful that she was put through this experience.”
Amber Heard Reacts to Alleged Smear Campaign Against Blake Lively
Amber Heard also weighed in after her own tumultuous experience following her divorce from Depp, stating, “I witnessed this firsthand, and it’s horrifying.”

“I witnessed this firsthand and up close. It’s as horrifying as it is dangerous.”
Nick Viall Reflects on Public Backlash Against Blake Lively
In a recent video on TikTok, Nick Viall stated he is “not here to gloat,” but he did acknowledge that he had noticed Baldoni’s behavior back in August. As Lively faced significant online criticism, Viall also received backlash for questioning Baldoni.
“I’m not here to brag; I’m just really happy that the truth is out about this man, and more importantly, how wrong you all have been about Blake,” Viall stated in his recent TikTok video.
He challenged those who still find it hard to believe in the actress, “because she reminds you of someone you went to high school with or you’re just obsessed with his jawline,” to actually read her complaint.
“It’s full of screenshots, evidence, and it paints a detailed picture of who Justin really is and not who he pretends to be,” he emphasized.
For Viall, the initial red flag appeared back in January 2023, just before his own extended interview with Baldoni in a rainy LA day in August, which is why he latched onto the term “fake.”
Viall recounted stepping out for a moment, and when he returned, Baldoni was back but not quite ready. He described Baldoni as meditating in front of an audience, which struck him as odd.
“I think meditation is amazing, but it’s something you do for yourself, you know, not for an audience,” he argued. “I thought to myself, why wouldn’t you just do that in your car? It’s pouring rain, the vibes are great outside.”
During most of Baldoni’s appearances to promote the film, he focused on a women-first approach to the book and film’s challenging subject matter of domestic abuse.
“So during the interview, I genuinely wanted to see if he believed in the things he was talking about. Did he even comprehend the material he was addressing?” Viall shared in his new explanation. “And honestly, I left feeling that his responses were insincere.”
“My major takeaway is that this guy kind of sucks. I left with the impression that he is cosplaying as an ally and is not one in reality,” he added.
In August, Viall went viral for questioning why Baldoni had even hired a crisis PR team as stories began to leak about the filming of the movie
