Insidious 6 Cast Reveals Lead Actor for Horror Sequel

The Insidious 6 cast may have found its lead, with a new report suggesting that the star of the next entry in the horror franchise has been set.

Who is set to star in Insidious 6?

According to a new report from Nexus Point News, Amelia Eve is set to star in the upcoming movie. Best known for her role in the Netflix series The Haunting of Bly Manor, Eve’s character is being kept under wraps for the most part. However, Nexus Point News’ report mentions that she will be a “single mother who suffers from a traumatic past.”

The report also mentions that the film will be another prequel to the first film and will see Lin Shaye reprise her role as Elise Rainier. Previous reports suggested that Haley Bennett (Magazine Dreams) was also being eyed to star in the film, although it’s unclear if that ended up not happening throughout the casting process.

Jacob Chase (Come Play) is set to direct the upcoming sixth entry in the Insidious franchise. Mostly nothing is known about the project as of now, but it will be the next entry in the franchise following 2023’s Insidious: The Red Door, which was released in 2023 and directed by star Patrick Wilson.

The franchise first began with 2011’s Insidious, which was directed by James Wan. It was a major success, earning generally positive reviews from critics and audiences and scaring up just under $100 million at the box office. Its success not only helped revive Wan and writer Leigh Whannell’s careers but also helped Blumhouse Productions to reach new heights.
