Halle Berry unveils new menopause product after candid health journey
Halle Berry, the founder of the wellness brand Respin, has teamed up with Joylux to launch a new vaginal dryness gel treatment called Juicy Like a Peach. In an interview with People, the actress discussed her personal experiences with menopause that motivated her to develop this product.
“When I got plummeted into perimenopause, I knew nothing about it,” Berry stated. “I had a rude awakening. I was in the bowels of hell trying to deal with it,” she added.
The Oscar-winning actress revealed that she was unaware of how the symptoms she experienced for a decade were connected. “None of my doctors uttered a word about menopause, perimenopause, change of life, nothing,” she mentioned. “They all just kept telling me, ‘You look great.’ They never told me that no matter what you look like, your hormones are changing, and your insides are aging. Like, nobody dared say that.”
Berry, an advocate for women’s health, expressed, “I realized that I had spent my whole life doing what I loved, I had a voice, and that I should use it for good. And this was a good way for me to use my voice for good because I felt like, ‘If I’m feeling this way, I can imagine millions of other women are too, and let’s start the conversation.’”
The X-Men actress explained that she created Juicy Like a Peach to help women in menopause “feel like themselves again.” Furthermore, she noted that the product “allows us to maintain our moisture, to have pain-free sex so that we can feel confident and be spontaneous again. It’s changed my sex life. I have my confidence back.”
