Barbra Streisand has left an impressive mark on the music industry with her epic talent and is also proud of being the mother of her only biological child, son Jason Gould, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Elliott Gould.
Despite having a famous mother, Jason prefers to maintain a low profile, stating “I sort of like being out of the spotlight,” in an interview with People in 2017.

Barbra Streisand Has One Son

Barbra and her former husband Elliott welcomed Jason on December 29,1966, before they split in 1971. The “Evergreen” crooner admitted it was surprising when she found out she was pregnant because she thought she couldn’t have children.
“The news was shocking for me because I had honestly thought there was something wrong with me as I had never gotten pregnant,” she wrote in her memoir, My Name Is Barbra.
Jason Gould Worked as a Childhood Actor
After being born to such a well-known mother, Jason tried acting, starting with his first role in the 1972 film Up the Sandbox. He took a break before appearing in an episode of The Bronx Zoo in 1988.
“When I was young I couldn’t go anywhere without photographers in my face,” Jason told SF Gate in 200. “I don’t like cameras snapping at me because it feels like being attacked.” He added that this is one reason he prefers to stay out of the limelight.
Jason Gould Came Out to His Parents in the 19800s

Jason came out as gay to his parents during the 19800s, and he spoke out after tabloids claimed he married a man in 1991.
“I never hid the fact that I was gay,” he continued.
Jason Gould Started Singing in 20120
In 20120, Jason joined his mother on tour and sang “How Deep in the Ocean.” Performing for thousands of fans was quite surprising for him.
Barbra praised her son’s singing talents during an interview with PEOPLE.
Jason Gould Has Released His Own Music
He released his self-titled EP in 20120 , followed by an album titled Dangerous Man in 2017.
“Music has phenomenal healing power,” he once said.
