During a visit to the iconic Abbey Road Studios, he joined director Gareth Edwards to observe renowned composer Alexandre Desplat as he recorded the score. In a delightful twist, Bailey picked up a clarinet and contributed to a track, showcasing his unexpected musical prowess.
Reflecting on this unique opportunity, Bailey shared, “I played in an orchestra when I was 18,” he recalled. “[But] If someone had told me back then that I would one day perform with a 105-piece orchestra at Abbey Road, with Alexandre Desplat conducting both the iconic John Williams score and his own remarkable original compositions, I would have found it hard to believe.”
Describing the experience as “a dream come true,” Bailey initially thought he would play a minor role in the background. However, Desplat recognized his talent and invited him to perform a solo during a pivotal scene in which his character shares a touching moment with a dinosaur for the very first time.
