In another life, Katy Perry might allow her daughter Daisy Dove to break the rules.
However, for now, the singer has firmly set boundaries for the 6-year-old—whom she shares with ex Orlando Bloom—regarding living out the lyrics to her hit 2010 single “The One That Got Away.”
“The other day, she was singing along to, ‘Stole your parents’ liquor and climb to the roof,'” Perry shared in an Entertainment Tonight interview published on Aug. 27. “She’s like, ‘One day, when I’m older, I’m going to do that.’
Needless to say, the 41-year-old quickly dismissed that idea.
“No, you ain’t, girl!” Perry recalled telling her daughter. “Our roof is too high!”
She is not surprised that her little one is turning into quite the daredevil. As Perry explained, “She is straightforward, has no fear. She is both Orlando and myself.”
This is why the former American Idol judge is enjoying all the childhood magic in Daisy’s life at this moment. In fact, she recently found joy in her daughter’s reaction to losing her front teeth.
