Parents from Wisconsin, Kevin McCall and Christina Davis, have reportedly been arrested after the mother allegedly gave their 1-year-old whiskey, leading to the baby’s death in the crib.

Wisconsin Mom Allegedly Gave 1-Year-Old Whiskey & Found Baby Dead In Crib
According to Law & Crime, on February 22, police responded to a call about a “pulseless non-breathing child” at an apartment complex. Upon arrival, police reportedly found McCall and Davis on the porch, while their baby was taken to the hospital. Ultimately, despite staff’s efforts to resuscitate the baby, the child was pronounced dead.
Per the outlet, Christina Davis recounted her day to the police. She allegedly stated that she had gone to work and returned home to find her older daughter in “punishment.” Then, while Kevin McCall was reportedly fixing his video game controller, Davis went to check on her younger child and found the child “stiff” with their eyes “rolling back into their head.” Subsequently, she and McCall called 911.

According to Law & Crime, when Davis spoke with police, she admitted that she did not feed the baby or change their diaper that day. Additionally, McCall confessed that he did not check on the baby while Davis was at work. Police reportedly noted that the baby was “covered in urine and feces” when officials observed the child at the hospital.
Ultimately, police spoke with Davis’ older daughter, who alleged that the parents often asked her to watch the baby. Furthermore, the daughter claimed that the day before the incident, Davis had prepared a bottle for the baby that contained “medicine” intended to make the baby “pass out.” The child reportedly identified this “medicine” as a bottle of whiskey.
Kevin McCall and Christina Davis were arrested and charged with chronic neglect of a child. According to reports, they are being held in custody under a $10,000 bond. Lastly, it is reported that they are due back in court on May 29.

Kevin McCall and Christina Davis are not the only parents facing legal consequences after a fatal incident involving their child. As previously reported by The Shade Room, Joshua Ruiz-Martinez was arrested in Florida in February 2025. At that time, it was reported that Ruiz-Martinez was playing video games after placing his infant daughter in a bathtub and leaving her alone for approximately ten minutes.
Ultimately, he returned to find his daughter “submerged” beneath the water.
