Magnus Ferrell, son of Will Ferrell, entered the world with a dramatic entrance.
Production on the beloved 2005 sports comedy Kicking & Screaming was briefly interrupted due to his birth.
“Kicking & Screaming had to be paused during filming because my mom went into labor with me,” Magnus shared in an exclusive interview with E! News’ The Rundown host Erin Lim Rhodes. “It’s a true story, I swear.”
Joking that he came “out the womb with boots on,” the 22-year-old humorously suggested this might explain his early passion for soccer.
“I liked Marco Royce for a long time because I looked like him,” he mentioned. “I really liked [Lionel] Messi. I really liked Xavi [Hernández]. I really liked all the Barcelona players when they had that super fun team and would just pass the ball around to everyone.”
Magnus fondly recalls the excitement he felt as a child when he received a “full Barcelona kit” from his mother Viveca Paulin, who also has sons Mattias Ferrell, 19, and Axel Ferrell, 16, with her husband of over 25 years.
