Kiefer Sutherland Cancels U.S. Tour Over “Very Low” Ticket Sales in Candid Message
Kiefer Sutherland will be returning home earlier than expected.
The “Going Home” singer—who has been on his Love Will Bring You Home Tour in Europe—announced the cancellation of the U.S. leg of his concert series due to disappointing ticket sales.
“With great disappointment I am going to have to cancel the US leg of my tour due to very low ticket sales,” he stated in a May 15 Instagram post. “I don’t think it’s fair to the people who have bought tickets, or the venues, to play to half empty houses.”
Kiefer, 59, mentioned that he’s “looking forward to touring the United States again at a more suitable time.”
“I hope you understand,” he added, before sharing a note for those who purchased tickets: “Refunds will be available from point of purchase.”
The actor—recognized for his roles on 24 and Designated Survivor—first announced his tour in February in anticipation of his fourth album, Grey, set to release on May 29.
