Kim Kardashian is never one to shy away from an unexpected fashion moment. The reality star shared another glimpse into her life on Instagram, and naturally, there was a statement-making outfit involved. This time, Kardashian mixed delicate lace with a seriously dramatic archival footwear choice.
Kim Kardashian takes a risk in a completely see-through top and pants paired with Alexander McQueen heels
Kardashian posed in a head-to-toe white ensemble featuring a completely sheer lace top and matching cropped pants. The combination came from Area’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection, with the intricate floral lace leaving little hidden underneath.
The fitted top featured long sleeves with exaggerated ruffled cuffs and a plunging neckline trimmed with even more lace. The design was held together by small sections through the middle, creating cutouts that extended down Kardashian’s torso. She wore the daring piece with coordinating semi-sheer lace pants that hugged her figure.
Kardashian kept her styling sleek, pulling her dark hair into a high ponytail while letting the elaborate lace do most of the talking. In a mirror selfie, she offered an even closer look at the top’s dramatically low neckline and detailed construction.
However, the outfit became even more striking once attention moved down to her shoes. Kardashian paired the romantic Area set with Alexander McQueen heels from the fashion house’s Fall/Winter 2011 collection, designed during Sarah Burton’s tenure.
The towering white leather sandals featured an extreme platform and sculptural metallic heels that curved beneath the foot. Multiple thin straps wrapped across Kardashian’s feet and around her ankles, while feather-like embellishments softened the otherwise architectural design. Archival runway photos show the distinctive shoes styled in a similarly dramatic fashion when they originally appeared on the catwalk.
Kardashian gave followers several views of the ensemble in her Instagram carousel, which she simply captioned, “a little bit of life”. One close-up focused almost entirely on the rare shoes, while another black-and-white shot captured the entire lace look.
