E! News has made attempts to contact representatives for Sullivan regarding her stepson’s impactful statement but has yet to receive any response.

Following the dramatic rescue of S from the devastating fire in February, authorities have charged Sullivan, age 56, with multiple serious offenses, including assault in the first degree, kidnapping in the second degree, unlawful restraint in the first degree, cruelty to persons, and reckless endangerment in the first degree. This information was released in a March statement from the Waterbury Police Department. In response, the attorney representing the stepmother, Ioannis Kaloidis, has refuted all allegations against his client.

“These claims are absolutely false,” Kaloidis stated during an interview with NBC Connecticut last month. “He was not confined to a room. She did not impose any restraints on him. She ensured he had food and provided shelter. She is incredibly shocked by these accusations.”

He further asserted, “We believe that as more evidence is revealed, it will become clear that she is not the villain she has been portrayed to be. This is simply not the case.”

Sullivan has entered a plea of not guilty and is currently free on bond while awaiting her trial after an appearance in court on March 28, as reported by NBC New York.
