Maria Bartiromo is leaving the airwaves.
After more than a decade as an anchor on Fox Business, parent company Fox Media confirmed her departure from the network on September 3.
“Effective today, Maria Bartiromo is no longer with FOX News Media,” the company stated in an online announcement. “We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 1/2 years and wish her all the best on her next chapter.”
The statement did not provide a reason for the change but noted that the final episode of Bartiromo’s daytime series Mornings With Maria aired that morning. Her Fox News show Sunday Morning Futures will be hosted by Jason Chaffetz this week, with a permanent replacement to be announced later.
Her third series, Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street, which airs on Fridays, will be transitioning to FBN’s Wall Street. This week, the series will be hosted by Cheryl Casone, with rotating anchors in the upcoming weeks, according to the network’s news release.
E! News has reached out to an agent for Bartiromo for comment but has not yet received a response.
So far, the 58-year-old has not publicly commented on her departure.
