Marvel is set to have one of its biggest years of all time in 2026, and the ball is already rolling thanks to its first new release, Daredevil: Born Again. Season 2 of the Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio-led series just aired its finale yesterday, but the show is confirmed to return next year with Season 3, which is now in production. Marvel will return to the big screen this summer with the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day (starring Tom Holland and Mark Ruffalo), which is launching worldwide on July 31. Spider-Man 4 isn’t the only film Marvel Studios is bringing to the big screen in 2026, though. Avengers: Doomsday, the event film starring Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom and a horde of other MCU stars, will come to theaters at the end of this year on December 18.
However, there’s another Marvel project coming right around the corner that’s flying under the radar somewhat, but it has all the potential to be one of the biggest new releases of the year. On May 25, Nicolas Cage will reprise his role as Spider-Man Noir in a new series on Prime Video titled Spider-Noir. Cage previously played the character in both Into the Spider-Verse and Across the Spider-Verse, and he’s confirmed to return in the third and final installment, Beyond the Spider-Verse, which will be released next year on June 20. The biggest kicker with Prime Video’s live-action Spider-Noir series is that it will not be the same version fans have seen in the animated movies — Cage previously voiced an alternate version of Peter Parker, and he’ll now play the private eye Ben Reilly.
