Before making it public, the “WAP” star posted a bikini photo on her Instagram, and fans speculated that they could just make out the basketball player in one of the pics in the carousel.

In another soft launch, Thompson’s Instagram dump on this day features what appears to be Meg from behind, as well as a hand-holding pic, with the caption “Sweet Bells Son.”

Just a few days later, the two made their red carpet debut at the rapper’s Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala – which raised $1.2 million for underserved communities in Houston and around the world – in New York City. “This is my first relationship where I’ve ever been with somebody who’s genuinely a nice person, and he makes me genuinely happy,” she told Page Six at the Event.

While in Arkansas for work, Megan agreed to hit the links with Thompson. “So today, my man wanna take me to play golf, so I’m going to let him pick my outfit,” she explained in the video. (For the record, he chose a lavender skirt and white top.) “Ever since I’ve been in love, my golf game’s reaped all the benefits!” he said as they tallied up their scores.

She’s not the only one posting. Megan made her clear debut in the hooper’s feed too: “Klay is taking me on another adventure and we’re going fishing,” she said in the video.

They say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, and Megan takes her cooking responsibilities seriously. “So Klay had never had spaghetti and catfish together before, and ever since the first time I made it for him, he ask me for this s—t like every week,” she said.

In another photo dump on Meg’s account, she can be seen making “heart hands” with her boyfriend in front of a house while holding a key, prompting fans to wonder in the comments if they live together now – and if a ring is next.

Thompson lost his starting spot on the Mavericks, and critics had some thoughts. On the Hoopin’ N Hollerin’ podcast, co-host (and retired NBA player) Jason Williams insinuated that Thompson’s lackluster start to the season could be due to his love life. “I’m from West Virginia, man. I’ve been taught a lot by some old folks, old white folks. It only takes one p—y to drag a battleship across a desert. That’s how powerful it is,” he said. “I ain’t saying that’s what it is, but that might be what it is.”

In response to Williams’ accusations, Thompson blasted the take on Instagram. “Referring to my GF as a ‘p—y’ is so disgusting and disturbing. Especially from someone who played in the NBA. How would yall feel if I referred to your wives in such a way,” he wrote. “Do better fellas. Very disappointing.”

Thompson made a major declaration of love by revealing in November 2025 that he’d named his boat “SS Stallion” after his partner.

Shortly prior, the pair spent Thanksgiving together with Meg sharing a video of herself cooking for the athlete and his family.

Meg pulled out all the stops to celebrate Thompson’s 36th birthday sharing photos from their festivities on Instagram captioned “Klay Day,” revealing that she got one of his favorite groups Bone Thugs-N-Harmony to perform just for him.

In an interview with People just ahead of their first Valentine’s Day together Meg opened up about finding love with Thompson. “I didn’t even know I was going to be in my relationship to be honest,” she told the publication.

“I think that because finally I started being in a better mind space about myself and my life and I had already been doing a lot of work to heal me … maybe God just opened up that space for me to have somebody that loved me right,” she continued. “This is one of the first times that I’ve ever been just overly comfortable. I’m comfy babe!”

Meg made it very clear that she sees a proposal in her future with Thompson while filming a YouTube video with Olympians Brittany Bowe and Hilary Knight who’d gotten engaged shortly prior.

“Manifesting my engagement too,” the rapper said while crossing her fingers for luck in the clip.

The couple parted ways in April with Meg confirming their breakup in a statement obtained by Billboard. “I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay,” she said. (The statement came after the rapper alleged via Instagram Stories that Klay cheated.) “Trust fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship and when those values are compromised there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”
