Many people apparently did not heed Mickey Rourke‘s disavowal of a GoFundMe for him, as over $100,000 was raised, and now the actor states he is actively working to refund donors.

Mickey took to Instagram Thursday to express his concerns about the crowdfunding “scam,” stating that his attorney is doing everything possible to ensure that all donors receive their refunds.

In fact, Mickey mentioned that there is still $90,000 that needs to be refunded.

As previously reported, a fundraising page was established in Mickey’s name with a goal of $100,000, which it exceeded, to prevent the star from being evicted from his Los Angeles home. However, Mickey informed fans that he was unaware of what GoFundMe was and found the entire situation frustrating and embarrassing.

Mickey has secured a new apartment in Los Angeles, is receiving work offers in Hollywood, and mentions that several celebrity friends have reached out, indicating that the crisis has been averted.
