Mike Vrabel, Dianna Russini Kissing Photos Surface Before Scandal

Although Vrabel will attend the first two rounds of the 2026 draft on April 23 and April 24, he shared his reasons for missing the final selections on April 25.

“This is something I have thought about extensively and would advise a player to consider if I were counseling them,” he stated. “I have always aimed to lead by example, and I believe this is necessary for me to be the best husband, father, and coach I can be.”

Regarding Russini, she resigned from her reporting position at The Athletic the week following the publication of vacation photos by Page Six earlier this month. (Both Russini and Vrabel previously denied any wrongdoing related to the photos.)

“I have no interest in participating in a public inquiry that has already caused more damage than I am willing to endure,” Russini said in an April 14 statement. “Rather than allowing this to persist, I have chosen to step aside now—before my current contract ends on June 30. I do this not because I accept the narrative surrounding this incident, but because I refuse to give it further attention or allow it to define me or my career.”
