It’s certainly been a roller-coaster of a year in 2026 for Chris Pratt so far, who has starred in one of the biggest box office bombs and also one of the biggest box office success stories. Pratt teamed up with Rebecca Ferguson at the start of the year for the new AI sci-fi thriller, Mercy, which failed to even earn back its $60 million budget before going on to become a smash hit on Prime Video. Pratt then returned to box office form with the premiere of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, which was the first film of the year to reach the fabled $1 billion milestone — with summer blockbuster season heating up, though, it likely won’t be the only film to hold this ground for long. Pratt has a few projects coming later this year, but some may have flown under the radar more stealthily than others.
The most anticipated project in the second half of 2026 is the second season of The Terminal List, which is finally returning on October 21 after a five-year hiatus. However, Pratt also has another straight-to-streaming military project coming not long after, when he’ll team up with Linda Cardellini for the new Apple TV movie, Way of the Warrior Kid. The film will begin streaming on Apple TV around the world on November 25, and with Pratt’s proven streaming prowess with other projects like The Tomorrow War, Way of the Warrior Kid can safely be considered one of Apple’s biggest releases of the year. The film will follow a self-doubting kid who becomes a victim of bullying, and he learns to find his self-worth and courage with the help of his Navy SEAL uncle (played by Pratt), who is home for the summer.

Is Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’?
Chris Pratt has confirmed that Marvel Studios will make good on the promise at the end ofGuardians of the Galaxy Vol.3that the legendary Star-Lord will return, but he has not yet been confirmed to have a role inAvengers: Doomsday. For better or worse — certainly for worse inAvengers: Infinity War— Pratt’s Star-Lord was a key figure in the last pair ofAvengersmovies, so it would be surprising ifAvengers: Doomsday andSecret Warsboth came and went without him showing up in some capacity.
Check outWay of the Warrior Kidon Apple TV this November and stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of Chris Pratt’s future projects.
