New Album ‘Foxes in the Snow’ by Jason Isbell Unveiled
Jason Isbell has exciting news for fans as he prepares to release a new album, which promises to be a remarkable addition to his discography as his first solo acoustic LP. Titled Foxes in the Snow, this highly anticipated album is set to hit the shelves on March 7. This release showcases Isbell’s evolution as an artist and his ability to connect with listeners through stripped-down, intimate performances that highlight his lyrical prowess and musicality.
Following the successful 2023 album Weathervanes, which was crafted with his long-time collaborative band, the 400 Unit, Foxes in the Snow signifies a significant milestone for the singer-songwriter. It also marks the first time he has released a record solely under his name since 2015’s critically acclaimed Something More Than Free. This album not only reflects Isbell’s growth but also his deep commitment to authentic storytelling through music.
Be sure to listen to the catchy first single, “Bury Me,” from the upcoming album below, which offers a glimpse into the soulful sound and heartfelt lyrics that fans have come to love from Isbell.
Foxes in the Snow was meticulously recorded at the renowned Electric Lady Studios in New York City, capturing the essence of his acoustic artistry. The recording process took place over five days in October, utilizing a vintage 1940 Martin 0-17 acoustic guitar. This choice of instrument adds a rich, warm tone to the album, enhancing the intimate feel of the music.
