Anne Hathaway is not opposed to the idea of plastic surgery.
Although the star of The Idea of You revealed that she hasn’t undergone any invasive cosmetic procedures, she remains open to the possibility of going under the knife in the future.
“These are huge medical decisions that people are presuming,” Anne told Elle in an interview published on May 21 regarding online speculation about her possibly having a facelift. “I wanted to show that like, no, I didn’t make a huge medical decision.”
Instead, the alum of The Princess Diaries uses “just two braids” pulled taut under her hair to create the optical illusion of a sculpted face.
However, just because Anne—who shares children Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6, with her husband Adam Shulman—hasn’t had the procedure done yet, it doesn’t mean she won’t in the future.
“And by the way,” she added, “the other thing about all this is, I might still get a facelift someday.”
As for why the star of The Devil Wears Prada 2 felt it necessary to address the plastic surgery rumors? She explained, “I felt like the conversation was becoming distracting.”
